Reflections of Life

Emory Eugene “Pop” Jackson was born March 17, 1947 at home in Ooltewah, Tennessee to the late Mary Ellen Roberts and Nathaniel Massengil. Eugene grew up attending Chattanooga Public Schools. He was employed with GAF in Chattanooga. 

He came to Atlanta in 1970, shortly after moving to Atlanta he met his wife Grace and her four daughters Marolyn, Melba, Jacqueline, and Sharon. In 1973 Emory and Grace welcomed his only child Chelsea. He retired from MARS warehouse in 2004.

Years after the death of his first wife he married his current wife Marilyn in 2015.     

On June 3, 2020 Eugene was lifted from his place on earth to his final resting place. 

He is proceeded in death by his wife Grace, his sister Margie, and brothers Wilburn, Wylie, and Michael. He leaves behind his wife Marilyn her son Brandon (Aqua), his daughters Chelsea (Rodney), Marolyn, Melba, Jacqueline, and Sharon. His sister Louviena, Alice (LeVaughn), Marilyn, Wanda (Wade), and Randall. His grandchildren Phillip, Daniel, Tiffany (Brandon), Kayla, Samuel, Rodsheka, Teman, Aaliyah (DeAntre), Kameron, He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren Syncere, Samuel Jr., Noah, Jayden, Kalen, Breanna, Ava, Da’Nya, Ja’Kyrie, A’Ryion, Karter; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Beloved by many Eugene will live on in our hearts forever.
